The Polytech offers many pathways to students, enabling them to tie meaningful career-based instruction to high school graduation requirements. Recognizing that students come to us in different phases of their school career and have varying aspirations, each program is curated by one of our administrators. We offer a high school diploma through a variety of options that include both high school and college credit, and encourage you to discuss your possibilities with The Polytech staff before enrolling to determine the best way to meet individual goals and timelines.

Required of all incoming students - Covers all administrative charges for behind-the-scenes processes that are necessary to set up a program at The Polytech. This fee is valid for a lifetime and students are welcome back at any time for any reason. |

Records review, meetings, and written reports as directed by individual student needs, including but not limited to assisting with school placement decisions, and representing the student at other meetings, including special education, custody, legal, and disciplinary issues. |

Career Assessment |
An interest inventory and career assessment typically completed within 4 hours. Results include a customized list of potential career options as well as ongoing access to a job and career resource database with detailed information about duties, skills, outlook, salary and appropriateness of fit to the student’s profile. |

Educational Therapy |
One-on-one customized instruction in academic, non-academic and socio-emotional realms, especially appropriate for neurodiverse learners. Services may include executive function strategies to improve organization, test-taking skills, time management, and self-advocacy; on-site support at a college campus to complete all steps of registration, including securing and implementing accommodations; and support through a job search and the transition into the workplace. |

Tutoring |
One-on-one academic instruction in English, math, science, social studies, Spanish and college readiness. Support with career-based instruction in the pathways of health care, business and technology services, education, and engineering. |

Transition Services |
One-on-one support for students who need to develop additional skills to become independent and successful adults, or support transitioning into college or the workplace. Services may include strategies for using transportation and accessing housing services, career assessments, identifying college and other training programs and registration, assistance negotiating and interacting with community-based services, and life skills. We have a driving simulator to build confidence with driving in different traffic and weather conditions and support for getting a driver's license, and a program to enable students to earn a WA Food Worker card. |
College credits earned generally translate to high school credit at a rate of 5 college quarter credits = 1.0 high school credits (full year). Talk with The Polytech to confirm the program and expected outcome for any individual student, especially neurodiverse learners andanyone seeking an alternate path to a diploma.
All tuition and fees are due 10 days before the first day of the term, or immediately upon registration if enrolling later. The Enrollment and Registration fee is due at the time of agreement and necessary to hold a seat in the upcoming term.
Driving Program Options
The Polytech driving packages are appropriate for any beginner, and especially recommended for neurodiverse and anxious drivers. We own a commercial-grade driving simulator that enables students to practice in a wide variety of weather and traffic conditions from the safety of our office. We also have a partnership with Defensive Driving, a traditional driving school with experienced instructors, training cars retrofitted with additional safety controls, and the ability to proctor both the WA State Dept of Licensing exams: Knowledge (written test, for a permit) and Skills exam (driving test, for a license).
